These hand painted universal ceramic bowl can be used for cereal, salad, fruit and breakfast.  They are made with clay and transformed into ceramic stoneware.  They are baked on high heat making them microwave and dishwasher safe.  The colors and patterns used are in keeping with the traditions of the region hence bright and vibrant.

Where It Was Made

Made in Uttar Pradesh (UP) India.  A North Indian state known for its rich history, heritage and handicrafts.  Key destinations where handicrafts can be found in UP are – Agra, Varanasi, Lucknow and Allahabad.  However the smaller towns are also well known for their unique crafts.

The skilled artisans  of UP have learned to incorporate traditional techniques with contemporary design aesthetics.  This allows them to remain viable and support their families.  Special efforts are made to teach this art to the younger generation to keep the talent and art alive.
